Site Visit at Fjällboheden – People and Collaboration in Focus

Since 2022, the Fjällboheden wind farm has been delivering affordable, renewable electricity – enough to power every household in Jörn, as well as an additional 10 percent of Skellefteå Municipality’s annual demand. It is an achievement we are proud of.

However, during Monday evening’s local site visit, it became clear that what matters just as much as production is the people we collaborate with.

Together with the Fjällboda Community Association, Fu-Gen hosted an evening at the wind farm focused on dialogue, knowledge sharing, and community. Visitors had the opportunity to experience the facility up close, including stepping inside a wind turbine – offering a unique insight into how modern wind power works in practice.

“Initiatives like this not only strengthen understanding of our operations – they also remind us why we do what we do,” says Sónia Liléo, Asset Manager at Fu-Gen.

The evening also featured food prepared over an open fire, homemade Swedish “fika”, and time to connect in a scenic natural setting. We extend our sincere thanks to the Fjällboda Community Association for their excellent partnership, to Lantliv Lodge and Latitude 65 for providing food and drinks, and to Vestas technicians and local contractors who generously shared their knowledge and day-to-day work.

Engaging conversations, curious questions, and ideas for future local initiatives made the evening particularly memorable. It is in these encounters – between people – that the foundation for long-term development and trust is built.
