An experienced investment and asset management director, with 20 years in the Infrastructure sector, of which over 10 years was in the UK renewable energy sector, Paul Barker joins Fu-Gen as the Country Manager for the UK.
Following early career experience in the British Army and Operations Management, Paul spent 10 years in the infrastructure sector, from real estate asset development and transactions, through to strategic and business management.
In 2013, Paul became the Transaction Director of Balfour Beatty Investments’ Renewable Energy Team, where he was responsible for the fund raising, deal origination, site selection, feasibility study, risk analysis and technology assessment and programme management of UK focused renewable energy projects. Following this, Paul joined Oxford Capital Partners as Investment Director, building his expertise in the development, construction, and operation of solar, battery storage and peaking power assets. It is this deep sector knowledge that will be invaluable as Fu-Gen enters the UK market.

For the last 2 years, Paul has worked as Portfolio Director at Downing LLP, with a focus on portfolio and people management, contracting strategy and asset optimisation.
With his extensive network, enthusiasm, and project-focused experience at the intersection of technology and finance, Paul will become an invaluable member of the Fu-Gen team helping to empower future British generations.
